Mefenamic Acid 50 mg + Paracetamol 125 mg suspension is a combination of Mefenamic Acid, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Paracetamol, a widely used analgesic and antipyretic. It is primarily indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain and fever in pediatric and adult patients.
Composition (per 5 ml):
- Mefenamic Acid – 50 mg
- Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) – 125 mg
Pharmacological Action:
- Mefenamic Acid acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX), an enzyme involved in prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing pain and inflammation.
