Combining Metformin with Linagliptin metformin is a biguanide antidiabetic medicine that works by reducing the production of glucose in the liver. It also delays the absorption of glucose from the intestine. Metformin also increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Linagliptin, on the other hand, works by increasing the production of insulin in the pancreas. It also reduces the production of hormones that increase blood sugar levels. This combination controls both fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels.

Precautions To Be Taken
